The Row Favourites Plus High Street Alternatives

Splurge? Save? You're Gonna Look Good Either Way

There’s no doubt about it, The Row has been a standout brand on the luxury fashion scene this year. The New York based label of course has links to the breakout “quiet luxury” trend that has had us fashion folk opting for logoless pieces and favouring classic silhouettes for quite some time now. But while hype surrounding this fashion phenomenon fades, as is always the case with this fast-paced industry, The Row, synonymous with impeccable long tailored coats, luxe carry-alls and, simply, the sheer beauty of understated style, is more popular than ever.

I’m a longtime fan of The Row. My wardrobe naturally tends to gravitate towards more classic and minimalist pieces, particularly when I’m enjoying some downtime, so this brand really is a perfect fit for me. I LOVE investing in quality staples from The Row, but there are some pretty great high-street alternatives available at a more affordable price point. So, in the spirit of covering all bases, I thought I’d put together a few outfit ideas using pieces from The Row plus high-street alternatives so you guys can shop happy, whatever budget you’re working with.

Outerwear, Elevated

First up, it’s all about outerwear in honour of the season’s chill. But in typical The Row fashion, we’re going to make it elevated. I’m thinking a long tailored coat, plus a midi dress (white isn’t just for summer, you know), point-toe heeled ankle boots, a cashmere scarf and a simple shoulder bag.

The Row: Indra coat, Londrina cutout midi dress, Shrimpton boots, Park large tote bag, Dodi cashmere scarf

High Street Alternative: Mango double-breasted wool coat, H&M boat-neck bodycon dress, Mango kitten heel ankle boots, Mango mini shopper shoulder bag, & Other Stories cashmere knit scarf

This Means Business

Chic business looks that channel power dressing are a staple of The Row’s beloved aesthetic. So next up, let’s focus on long coats, luxe carry-alls that make great work bags and soft tailoring.

The Row: Indra coat, Erminia cashmere sweater, Randa wide-leg trousers, Margaux bag, Cybil mules, Lorella leather gloves

High Street Alternative: COS double-breasted pea coat, Massimo Dutti sweater, Massimo Dutti straight-leg pleated trousers, H&M shopper tote, H&M heeled mules, & Other Stories cat-eye sunglasses

Cosy Comfort

And when it’s time for something casual, I put my trust in The Row’s classic minimalist aesthetic. These pieces make it easy to look put together no matter how comfortable I want to feel. So let’s go with a traditional turtleneck, jeans and a leather jacket, plus some suede loafers and a barrel bag for a touch of trendy.

The Row: Stepny oversized turtleneck sweater, Eglitta boyfriend jeans, Kengia leather bomber jacket, suede loafers, Round ’90s bag

High Street Alternative: Mango turtleneck knit sweater, Mango quilted bomber jacket, Mango suede leather loafers, Abercrombie & Fitch Mid Rise 90s Straight Jeans, & Other Stories leather barrel bag
