Capri Restaurant Guide

Flavours of a Capri summer

Capri has long been one of my favourite summer escapes. There’s something about this island – the crisp sea air, the wild beauty of the cliffs, and the sheer charm in every corner – that makes it feel both timeless and endlessly exciting.

I love spending long weekends here with friends, soaking in the sun, the views, and of course… the food. After countless visits over the years, I’ve developed a shortlist of go-to places that I always find myself returning to. Whether you’re here for the first time or simply looking for a few new favourites, here are my personal recommendations when it comes to where to eat (and fully enjoy) this magical place.

P.S. You can find some of the outfits I wore in Capri a few weeks ago in my recent Summer Looks blog post.

1. La Fontelina

This iconic beach club and seafood restaurant sits just beneath the famous Faraglioni rocks, and it’s the kind of place that stays with you long after you leave. It’s always buzzing with the most effortlessly chic crowd, and the seafood is as fresh as it gets. Definitely book ahead – tables (and sunbeds!) here don’t stay free for long.

2. Da Paolino

Dining under a canopy of lemon trees is already a dreamy concept, but Da Paolino somehow makes it feel even more magical. The entire space is bursting with greenery, elegance, and that unmistakable Capri charm. It’s aesthetic in the best possible way – the kind of place where every table feels like a scene from a movie. I’ve tried everything from their bruschetta to pastas to desserts, and I can confidently say: you won’t go wrong here.

3. Aurora

When I think of the perfect lunch spot in town, Aurora is the first place that comes to mind. It’s centrally located and, as someone who considers herself a professional pizza taster (if that’s a thing?), I can wholeheartedly say this one makes the list. Their pizza is everything I want it to be – flavourful, light, and perfectly baked. A must for any pizza lover.

A Little Tip Before We Move On…

Before I take you to my next two recommendations, here’s a quick tip: book a boat trip. There’s truly no better way to experience Capri than from the water. The coastline is a series of dramatic cliffs, hidden coves, and sparkling blue water that sometimes feels too beautiful to be real. And here’s the best part –  ask your skipper to take you to lunch in Nerano. It’s technically not Capri, but it’s the perfect excuse to enjoy a stunning boat ride and visit one (or both) of the following gems.

4. Conca Del Sogno

This place sits right by the water and is the definition of a dreamy lunch destination. The vibe is relaxed yet refined, the seafood is incredibly fresh, and the views? Absolutely next-level. I love everything about it – it’s the kind of spot you’ll want to linger in all afternoon.

5. Lo Scoglio

Another seaside favourite, Lo Scoglio is just a short boat ride away and worth every minute of the trip. It has that effortless, rustic charm and a menu full of local flavours. I always go for the pasta al pomodoro – simple, traditional, and unbelievably good. It’s the kind of dish that reminds you why Italian food is beloved around the world.
