Let’s talk beach outfits, shall we?

I know we all love a good swimsuit moment, but let’s be honest – a day at the beach is never just about the swimsuit. It’s about the whole look. The vibe. The accessories. The outfit you throw on when you’re grabbing an iced coffee on the way, or heading straight from the sunbed to that cute little beach bar you’ve bookmarked since March.

For me, planning beach looks is a proper summer ritual. You know the drill – how many swimsuits is enough for a 7-day holiday? (Girls’ maths says: at least ten). Is it too much to have a special bikini reserved only for that one beach club I’ve been dreaming about? Never.

Beach outfits are half the fun – and such a joy to put together. Sometimes it’s a classic: a sleek one-piece paired with silk wide-leg trousers and oversized sunnies. Other days, I’m reaching for a bikini, a light button-down shirt, and a straw hat big enough to shade half the coast. I love a good cover-up dress or a floaty kimono too – perfect for going from sunbathing to lunch without missing a beat.

Of course, no beach look is complete without a woven tote (mine is usually stuffed with SPF, a book I may or may not read, and about four lip balms), a good pair of sandals, and a scarf for the hair – or just to look like I’ve made an effort.
