The sets that made showing up for every workout a little easier
One thing I have been genuinely proud of this year is how consistent I have been with moving my body. My original motivation was, if I am being completely honest, my wedding. Having a date in the calendar gave me a goal to work towards, and I wanted to feel stronger, improve my posture and build more muscle rather than simply focus on how I looked.
What surprised me most is that once the wedding was over, I didn’t want to stop. After six months of training three or four times a week, it had become part of my routine. Something I actually looked forward to rather than something I had to tick off my to-do list.
My schedule changes constantly, so my workouts have never looked exactly the same. Some weeks it has been Pilates, other weeks strength training at the gym, hotel workouts while travelling, or simply thirty minutes of incline walking at home when that was all I had time for. The important thing has been staying consistent rather than chasing the perfect routine.
Naturally, that also means I have probably worn activewear more over the past six months than ever before. Along the way I have found the brands, sets and pieces I keep reaching for, so I thought I would share my favourites depending on the activity
For Pilates & Studio Workouts
Pilates has easily become one of my favourite ways to move. Every class leaves me feeling stronger, but also somehow lighter, especially after spending long days sitting at my desk or travelling. It has done wonders for my posture and strengthening my back has become one of my biggest priorities this year.
When it comes to what I wear, comfort is everything. I always reach for soft matching sets that move with me rather than against me. A supportive sports bra, high-waisted leggings or biker shorts and a lightweight layer for travelling to and from the studio are usually all I need. The fewer distractions, the better the workout.

For The Gym
Strength training has become a much bigger part of my routine this year, and I have genuinely started to enjoy it. I never imagined I would be someone who looks forward to gym sessions, but seeing myself get stronger has been incredibly motivating.
For the gym, I usually choose pieces that feel a little more supportive than what I would wear to Pilates. A good sports bra is non-negotiable, especially for more intense sessions, and I almost always pair it with either leggings or biker shorts depending on the temperature. Comfortable trainers, a simple tank top and an oversized hoodie thrown over everything afterwards complete the look.

For Tennis & Padel
Tennis has always been one of those sports that never really feels like exercise to me, which is probably why I enjoy it so much. One of my goals this year is to improve my tennis properly, and every time I get the chance to play, whether at home or while travelling, I am reminded why I love it. It is active, social and one of the easiest ways for me to completely switch off for an hour.
It also happens to be the excuse I need to wear some of my favourite activewear. Tennis dresses and matching skirts with fitted tops are probably my most-worn pieces on court. Add a cap, white socks and comfortable trainers, and I am ready to play for hours.

Accessories That Make Every Workout Better
SNEAKERS
Finding a workout you genuinely enjoy will always be more important than finding the perfect activewear, but having pieces that make you feel comfortable and confident certainly helps. These are the sets, brands and accessories I keep coming back to, and I hope they give you a little inspiration for your own summer workouts.
