One Brand, Endless Favourites...

If you know that one of my wedding dresses simply had to be Magda Butrym, then you probably already know how much I love this brand.

I’ve been wearing Magda for years, and somehow every collection manages to make me fall in love all over again. The tailoring, the silhouettes, the attention to detail… every piece feels incredibly feminine without ever trying too hard. It has become one of those brands I always get excited about.

The crochet dress I wore for my wedding was custom-made especially for me, which unfortunately means I can’t link it for you. I wish I could, because it really is one of the most beautiful dresses I’ve ever owned. But what I can do is share the pieces from the current collection that I already own, the ones sitting on my wishlist, and everything I’m genuinely excited to wear over the next few months.

If you asked me to choose just one category that Magda Butrym does better than almost anyone else, it would have to be dresses.

Creating a beautiful dress is one thing. Creating a dress that’s instantly recognisable without a visible logo is something completely different. Think about it. If someone showed you a simple black designer dress, chances are you probably wouldn’t immediately know which fashion house made it. Unless luxury fashion is practically your second language, most brands don’t have that level of recognisable design language.

Magda Butrym does.

Sometimes it’s the sculpted hips that create the most incredible hourglass silhouette. Other times it’s those signature oversized floral appliqués that have become synonymous with the brand. Even when the dress itself is beautifully minimal, there is always one detail that makes you stop for a second and think, that’s Magda Butrym. And that’s incredibly difficult to achieve in fashion.

The funny thing is, this doesn’t only apply to the dresses, although they’re definitely what I buy most often. I’ve honestly lost count of how many I own at this point… and maybe it’s better if we don’t start counting. Her swimwear is another category I absolutely love every summer. It has the same feminine, sculpted feel as the ready-to-wear collection, which is probably why I keep reaching for it year after year. When autumn arrives, my attention immediately shifts to the blazers and leather jackets. They have exactly the same identity as the dresses. I can’t even fully explain it, but you instantly recognise the cut. The shoulders, the waist, the proportions… they simply fit in that unmistakable Magda Butrym way.

I could probably keep talking about this brand for another few pages, but I think it’s much more fun to show you instead. So I’ve rounded up some of my favourite Magda Butrym looks I’ve worn recently, along with the pieces from the current collection that I genuinely love. Hopefully you’ll discover a few new favourites of your own. Happy shopping!
