The Most Coveted Chanel SS26 Pieces Everyone Is Buying Right Now

The arrival of Chanel’s spring/summer 2026 (SS26) collection has ignited a level of hype I haven’t seen in years. Everywhere I look – from fashion magazines to TikTok and YouTube – the new season seems to be selling out almost instantly, with accessories and ready-to-wear pieces disappearing as soon as they hit boutiques. It’s one of those rare moments when the buzz actually feels real.

As someone who hasn’t bought a Chanel bag for a long time, I didn’t expect to be pulled back in so quickly – but I already found myself bringing home two pieces from this collection. The designs feel fresh, but still unmistakably Chanel.

Below I’ve distilled the collection into the pieces I believe are most wanted this season.

BAGS

Chanel bags this season feel like a perfect balance between familiar and new – the kind of pieces that instantly make sense in a wardrobe.

The Maxi Flap Bag with a top handle is probably the standout. Slightly oversized, softer in structure, and surprisingly light, it’s the kind of bag you can actually wear every day, not just admire. I have mine in a rich chocolate brown, and I’ve already been reaching for it constantly.

The Small Flap Bag is everywhere right now. I’ve been seeing it in softer pastel tones – especially that pistachio green – which makes the classic shape feel much fresher and easier to style.

The new Bowling Bags, both the small and maxi versions, feel like one of the biggest shifts this season. The shape is softer, more relaxed, and a little less expected for Chanel. I picked up the small one in a very light, almost white blue, and it’s quickly become one of my most worn bags.

For something more practical, the large shopping totes are having a real moment. From the deep burgundy and black versions to the croc-embossed finishes in green and mint, they feel minimal, spacious, and incredibly wearable – the kind of bags that fit everything without ever looking heavy.

There’s also a newer elongated flap with a chain strap, which feels slightly more understated and modern, especially in the darker tones like burgundy.

I also really love the cleaner, more minimal pieces this season – including the curved top-handle silhouettes and even the transparent mini flaps in soft pastel shades. They feel lighter, a bit more playful, and very in line with how I want to dress right now.

And then, of course, the heritage is still there. The 2.55 has been subtly reworked, alongside a few vintage-inspired shapes that feel less precious and much easier to wear day to day.

SHOES

Chanel shoes have always been a constant in my wardrobe, but this season they feel especially relevant.

The classic two-tone slingbacks are, once again, at the centre of everything. This colour combination is one of those signatures that never really changes, but somehow always feels right – and now it also comes across ballerinas, which makes it even easier to wear day to day.

The ballerina flats remain just as strong. I’ve been wearing them for years, and this season they feel slightly updated through textures and finishes, while still keeping that same effortless feel.

What stands out the most right now are the pony hair slingbacks and ballet flats. They add just enough texture and interest to a look, without feeling too much – which is exactly why they’ve become so popular.

Alongside that, there are also a few more structured and statement styles, like Mary Janes and minimal heels, but overall everything still feels very wearable, very Chanel – just slightly refreshed.

READY-TO-WEAR

Chanel ready-to-wear is one of those things that never really feels like just clothing to me – especially when it comes to their jackets and cardigans. They’re truly pieces of art. The structure, the detailing, the iconic Chanel buttons – everything feels so considered and refined. They have that timeless, elegant quality that makes you feel like they’ll stay in your wardrobe forever.

I already have a few in my collection, and they’re honestly some of my favourite pieces to wear. The most recent ones I added are a pair of black Chanel jeans and a black cotton jacket with delicate white floral details – both feel incredibly wearable, but still very special.

This season, what really stands out are the tweed sets with strong contrast details – especially the black versions with burgundy and ivory trims. They feel very classic, but slightly sharper and more defined than before.

There are also beautiful floral-appliqué pieces, where the detailing feels almost couture-like, but still wearable in real life – something Chanel does incredibly well.

The cream and red sets bring a softer, more feminine side to the collection. They feel fresh, slightly playful, and very in line with spring, while still keeping that polished Chanel look. At the same time, there’s a clear shift towards more relaxed tailoring – slightly oversized blazers, softer suits, and longer silhouettes that feel more effortless, but still very put together.

And then there are the cropped jackets paired with skirts, which feel very Chanel in the most recognisable way – structured, feminine, and easy to style in different ways.

Overall, the whole collection feels like a perfect balance – classic Chanel, but just a bit more relaxed, more modern, and much easier to wear day to day.

What I like most about this collection is that it doesn’t try too hard.

It still feels like Chanel, just slightly more relaxed, more wearable, and easier to integrate into everyday outfits. The pieces are practical, but still special – which is exactly what I look for.

Rather than focusing only on the hype around the Chanel Spring Summer 2026 collection, I always try to look at what actually translates into real life. And this season, there are quite a few pieces that genuinely do.

If you’re thinking about what’s really worth investing in from Chanel SS26, this is definitely one of those collections where the most wanted pieces actually make sense beyond the moment.
