A curated edit of what’s actually caught my attention lately
TikTok has completely changed the way we discover beauty. Products go viral overnight, sell out within hours, and suddenly everyone is talking about the same thing. It’s exciting – but also, at times, a little overwhelming.
I don’t try everything that goes viral. But I do pay attention.
Over time, you start recognising what actually translates into real life. For me, it always comes down to texture, finish and effortlessness. If something feels easy, wearable and quietly enhances rather than transforms, it’s the kind of product that stays.
I have to admit – I’m not usually drawn to matte finishes, but the new NARS natural matte, long-wear, pore-blurring foundation has completely changed my perspective. It feels incredibly lightweight on the skin, almost invisible, yet gives that softly perfected finish that lasts all day. It’s that balance I always look for – polished, but never heavy.
Another piece I keep coming back to is the Westman Atelier bronzing stick. It blends beautifully into the skin, the tones are just right, and it gives that subtle warmth that makes everything look a little more refined without trying too hard.
And then there are the new YSL blush shades – soft spring tones with that raspberry and cherry undertone that instantly freshen up the complexion. It’s the kind of detail that changes the entire mood of a look, especially as we move into lighter, more effortless makeup.
What I find most interesting at the moment is how many of my favourite brands are reworking their bestsellers through new shades and subtle updates. Pieces that are already loved – and in many ways constantly viral – but feel new again. Rhode pocket blushes, their lip treatments, classic MAC lipsticks, Make Up For Ever lip liners… all of those familiar favourites, just slightly refreshed.
I’ve always loved that approach – investing in products I already know work for me, and then discovering new shades that bring a different energy without changing everything.
So rather than focusing on everything that’s trending, I’ve pulled together a selection of viral beauty and skincare that genuinely caught my attention lately – the ones that feel relevant, wearable and worth exploring.
