Inside My Couture Week Suitcase
As January draws to a close, it has come to mean one thing for me – Paris Couture Week. For years now, it marks the beginning of fashion month and a period filled with constant travel, outfit changes, runway shows and content creation. It’s fast-paced, intense and often non-stop, but the truth is, I still genuinely enjoy every part of it. Even after all these years, the excitement hasn’t worn off. So before the schedule takes over and the days blur into one, it’s time to start where it all begins: packing.
For Couture Week, I always pack fewer pieces than people expect – but each one earns its place. Paris days are long, plans change quickly, and everything in my suitcase needs to work hard without feeling overthought. I focus on strong silhouettes, reliable shoes and accessories that can take me from day to night with ease.
Clothing & Shoes
When it comes to clothing, I always pack with versatility in mind. I like pieces that are easy to combine, feel polished without effort, and allow me to move through long days without overthinking what I’m wearing.
I usually bring one strong matching set, simply because it makes getting dressed easier. This season, a grey wool set from Magda Butrym is my go-to – refined, comfortable and instantly put-together. Alongside it, I pack a few reliable staples: a classic white T-shirt, a pair of jeans and an oversized cashmere knit. This combination has become my uniform for early mornings, breakfast meetings or quieter moments between shows.
For evenings, I add one dress that feels elevated but uncomplicated and simple blazer – something that works just as well for a late appointment as it does for an impromptu dinner. To pull looks together and give them structure, a simple leather belt is always in my suitcase.
Shoes are where I become more intentional. I rely on a small rotation that covers every scenario: elegant pumps for shows, a slightly more minimal pair for daytime, one statement option for bolder looks, boots for colder Paris days, and a comfortable loafers for when walking becomes unavoidable. Everything needs to work across outfits, not just with one look.

Bags, Jewellery & Sunglasses
For Couture Week, I tend to gravitate towards smaller bags. They feel more practical in crowded spaces, easier to carry from show to show, and naturally suit a more refined silhouette. I usually pack a few styles that serve different purposes – one for evenings, one that adds character to daytime outfits, and a minimal option that works with almost everything.
When it comes to jewellery, I stick to pieces I already wear regularly. Timeless designs that layer easily and don’t overpower an outfit are always the ones I reach for. They’re familiar, reliable and feel very much like me, which is exactly what I want during a busy week.
Sunglasses are the final touch. I rotate between a couple of classic pairs depending on the outfit and the light – practical, polished and always part of the look.

Packing for Paris Couture Week has never been about having more. It’s about choosing well. Every piece in my suitcase needs to feel intentional, versatile and effortless – so that even on the busiest days, getting dressed remains the easiest part. For travelling, I’ll keep it simple and comfortable: most likely a cashmere set with a larger bag, or a relaxed pair of jeans. Easy, practical, and ready from the moment I arrive.
