I love the transitional period after summer – when the air gets a little crisper, days turn shorter, and fashion starts to feel more playful. Layering makes outfits so much more interesting, giving structure and balance to even the simplest looks. For me, this is the season to experiment with textures and silhouettes, and to reach for those lightweight pieces that make styling effortless yet exciting.

A trench coat is my ultimate autumn staple. Timeless and versatile, it can instantly elevate an outfit while remaining incredibly practical. I tend to go for earthy tones that fit seamlessly into my wardrobe – Khaite and Magda Butrym are probably my favourite brands when it comes to trench coats with perfect cuts.

For high street alternatives, brands like COS, H&M, and Massimo Dutti always offer great options at more affordable prices. Their trench coats are well-tailored and definitely worth adding to your fall wardrobe.

When it comes to jackets, I can never resist a beautiful leather piece. Saint Laurent has some of the most iconic designs, while Magda Butrym and Khaite also create jackets I absolutely adore. I love throwing them over a simple T-shirt or styling them with denim for a more polished casual look.

On the high street, Zara has a really good selection of suede leather jackets this season, and both COS and Massimo Dutti offer pieces that are minimal, chic, and easy to wear every day.

We’ve officially entered fashion month and I know trench coats and lightweight jackets will be my go-to pieces all throughout September.
