Autumn Collection: Effortless Staples for Early Fall
There’s something about COS that always draws me back. It’s one of my favourite high street brands, and for good reason – the simplicity of their cuts, the understated elegance, and that quiet The Row energy they carry so well. They never overcomplicate things, yet every piece feels considered, timeless, and endlessly wearable.
Their new autumn collection is just beautiful. Think earthy tones, knit polo shirts, tailored trousers, classic cardigans, and those effortless dresses that can be styled under a blazer or layered with a trench coat. The fabrics are exactly what you’d expect from COS – high quality wool, cotton, silk – materials that feel as good as they look.
I’ve pulled together a selection of pieces that caught my eye for the early days of autumn. Simple, versatile, and refined – exactly the kind of staples you’ll reach for again and again.

As you’ve probably seen from my outfit edits, autumn is my favourite season for layering – it’s chic, practical and so much fun. What do I mean exactly? Think tailored straight-leg trousers with a simple tee, paired with loafers that tie the look together, and a cardigan thrown over the top. Then come the accessories – a silk scarf, sunglasses, a belt, a structured bag, statement earrings.
Or, swap the trousers for great denim and style it with an oversized shirt, then drape a chunky knit over your shoulders and knot it loosely at the front. Add ballet flats, a roomy tote, and you’re ready to go. You see what I mean? Autumn is the perfect opportunity to play with your wardrobe – it’s all about mixing layers and having fun with your favourite pieces.
