When it comes to handbags, I’ve always loved high-quality leather and over the years I’ve built a collection that includes many different types. Each finish adds its own character and charm, but when autumn comes, suede is definitely one of my favourite choices. Earthy tones, from rich browns to olive greens, fit perfectly with the season’s aesthetic and bring a warm, textured touch to every outfit. I love reaching for suede bags in these months because they feel timeless yet seasonally on point.

There’s something so irresistible about a small bag. They’re practical for everyday use and ideal for events when I don’t want to carry much. The one I wear the most from my own collection is definitely the Alaïa Teckel – I’ve had it for a while, and it remains one of my go-to bags.

Medium suede bags are those slightly larger styles that strike the perfect balance – bigger than a small bag, but not quite the oversized carry-all. They’re spacious enough to fit all the essentials, yet still light and easy to wear. I find them incredibly versatile because they work with so many different outfits, which makes them a must-have for me. This autumn, suede in earthy tones like mocha mousse and warm browns feels especially on-trend, though I still love the timeless look of black suede. Prada has a gorgeous suede model this season, and of course Saint Laurent and The Row are always favourites of mine when it comes to chic medium bags.

Large Suede Bags
Large suede bags are my travel essentials. I’ve tried travelling with smaller handbags before, but it simply doesn’t work for me – I need the space for my laptop, charger, beauty bag, and all the other necessities that come with being on the go. That’s why I truly adore my collection of oversized suede bags. One of my absolute favourites is the Magda Butrym Brigitte in a rich brown shade – I wear it all the time. Alaïa, Miu Miu and DeMellier also have stunning suede options in larger sizes, and I think they’re a great investment if you travel as often as I do.
