The best kind of mid-week distraction …
We all love the concept of a coveted capsule wardrobe. A piece for every look and a look for every piece in our assortment of clothes, shoes and accessories. But what about when there’s an influx of hot new items bombarding our fyp, infiltrating our targeted ads and making it onto our Pinterest styling mood boards?? All this only means one thing. My lovelies, it’s time to shop!
From lightweight layers capable of easily transitioning into spring and ‘It’ bags of the moment, to classic silhouettes that make dressing for the office not feel like work and this season’s hottest new hues. Here are the best fashion picks that I’m eyeing online right now.
Coveted & Capsule
The appeal that a collection of capsule items designed to simplify getting dressed each morning has is undeniable. But to avoid getting overwhelmed by choice, let’s focus on the specifics. You can never go wrong with a pair of straight-leg jeans and my favourites right now are from AGOLDE. Leather trousers make a nice, somewhat edgier, alternative, and at the moment I’m loving pairing these with cropped boxy jackets (the PERFECT transitional layer). My favourite online right now is from Bottega Veneta – it even comes with a detachable Intrecciato Weave collar.
The most simple kind of layers (think an oversized white shirt) remain the best year-round. And in terms of knitwear, you can hold onto the cosy comfort of cashmere jumpers except now in the silhouette of a polo shirt or a sleeveless dress for a lighter feel.

Workwear That Works
If, like me, you’re still enjoying the insurgence of career motivation that comes with the start of a new year then workwear looks remain a hot topic this month. Pencil skirts were one of the biggest (and most wearable) trends to come from the Spring/Summer 2025 runways so it’s no shock that they’re some of the hottest fashion finds online right now. I’m loving checkered and knitted versions, especially ones that are a little longer (more of the midaxi variation). Blazers in different fits (think oversized and fitted collarless styles), plus leather options are a great way to switch up tried-and-tested tailoring.

Walk This Way
The New Year brings a whole host of new possibilities and, lucky for us, this extends to our footwear prospects, too. I love boot season as much as any shoeaholic but now the weather feels like it’s permitting us to broaden our choices a little. Kitten heels and slingbacks always prove great pre-spring shoe options, and right now it’s all about the emerging round-toe shoe trend that’s set to make one almighty comeback this year.
In terms of colours, I’m still not over the burgundy phenomenon (how could I be?!) and I’ve also got my eye on olive green as the next shade to watch.

Bag It Up
Keeping up with bag trends is the gift that keeps on giving. We’re seeing many of the hottest bag trends that dominated last year continue to flourish – think the coveted east-west bag silhouette, super-sized totes and suede styles which are remaining sought after even as warmer weather is on the horizon. I’m personally loving when these trends fuse together – suede versions of the Alaïa Le Teckel and Bottega Veneta Hop are the options I’m currently crushing on the most.

The Finishing Touch
Now onto the fun stuff. You guys know that accessories are where I like to be my most playful and experiment with new textures, hues and aesthetics because … why not? This season it’s all about bold little touches to finish looks (small, but mighty). Bottega Veneta’s viral TikTok aviator sunglasses complete with on-trend warm-toned lenses and jewel details make for a fun finish to a classic simple white tee and jeans look, and Celine also have some perfect everyday options that feel pared-back and cool. In terms of jewellery, I’m currently loving hammered-effect finishes and pearl embellishments that create a coveted vintage feel (amazing for cocktail hour and a whole lot more). Metal hair accessories are proving a vital part of my Fashion Month survival wardrobe. They’re a great way to spice up everyday looks and perfectly marry my love of opulent jewellery with the need for practical hair accessories.
