Spring is finally on the horizon, and I couldn’t be more excited! There’s something so refreshing about this time of year – the days get longer, the sun feels warmer, and, of course, our wardrobes get a complete reset. For me, that always starts with shoes. Gone are the heavy boots of winter, and in come elegant slingbacks, effortless ballet flats, timeless loafers, and the sandals we’ve all been waiting to wear.

I have to say, the spring 2025 collections are looking absolutely stunning, and I’m already obsessed with so many styles. Whether you’re looking for something chic and minimal or a bold statement piece, this season has it all. So, I’ve rounded up my favorite finds and put together a few tips to help you kick off your first spring shopping spree of the year in style!

Ballet flats have been one of the biggest trends since last year, and they’re still going strong this spring. What I love about them is their versatility – comfortable, yet stylish, and perfect for everyday wear. This season, we’re seeing some exciting new designs, with suede finishes, mesh details, and lots of neutral tones taking the spotlight.

Brands like The Row, Alaïa, and Totême have nailed the trend, offering chic, minimalist styles with a modern twist. Suede flats add a touch of luxury, while mesh models bring a playful, airy vibe. Neutral shades are a must-have this season, making it easy to pair these flats with just about anything. I’m already on the hunt for a new pair to add to my spring wardrobe!

 I’m totally in love with low-heeled mules.  These mules are perfect for those who love comfort without sacrificing style.

The heel is just the right height – not too high, but enough to add an elegant touch to any look. They’re incredibly easy to wear, whether with jeans, trousers, or skirts, and they instantly elevate your outfit while still being super comfortable for day-to-day wear. These mules are not only the perfect addition to any spring wardrobe but also versatile enough to take you from day to night with ease. I’m all about that effortless, sleek look, and these type of mules are definitely the go-to choice for this season.

Next, let’s talk about loafers – honestly, the one type of shoe I didn’t stop wearing even during the winter, paired with warm socks, because I absolutely adore them. I’ve got several pairs in different styles, but of course, I’m always on the lookout for a fresh pair for spring.

Some of my favorite brands for loafers are Loro Piana, Saint Laurent, and Khaite, but I also love the trendy options from Gucci – they always manage to bring something special.

Whether they’re classic or with a little twist, loafers are so versatile and timeless, and I can’t wait to add another pair to my collection for the warmer months ahead!

Slingback pumps are another obsession of mine, and they’ve definitely become a major trend lately. Just recently, I bought a pair of Manolo Blahniks in olive green, and I’ve already worn them because they’re surprisingly comfy! The heel isn’t too high, and they go so well with more relaxed outfits like jeans and a shirt.

For more elegant looks, though, I’m all about high-heeled slingback pumps. My go-to’s are the nude Jimmy Choo slingback pumps and the iconic Alaïa ones – both of which I can’t get enough of. I pretty much buy every new color that comes out!

The delicate straps add a touch of sophistication without overwhelming the look, making them perfect for both casual and more formal occasions.

For me, they strike the perfect balance between minimalist chic and timeless style. While not the most practical choice for long days, these sandals definitely make a statement when paired with a beautiful dress or smart trousers.

Retro sneakers are making a strong comeback this spring, blending nostalgia with modern design elements. The trend embraces vintage-inspired silhouettes, classic colorways, and a mix of suede and leather textures that give off an effortless, worn-in feel.

Brands like Adidas and New Balance continue to dominate with their reissued classics, proving that timeless designs never go out of style. On the luxury side, Loewe has introduced sleek retro sneakers with minimalistic details, while Miu Miu plays with distressed finishes and high-fashion reinterpretations of sporty silhouettes. Gucci also joins the trend, bringing back ‘70s and ‘80s aesthetics with bold logos and vintage color schemes. Whether styled with relaxed denim, tailored trousers, or even feminine dresses, retro sneakers offer the perfect mix of comfort and effortless cool.
