I know most people wait until the new year to kickstart their healthy journey but being kind to your mind and body, fuelling yourself well and sticking to an energising workout routine are practices that I firmly believe we should partake in all year round. By no means am I a professional at this but I am someone who has committed to taking better care of myself this year so when it comes to motivational pep talks, creating routine habits that make achieving your goals that much easier and finding ways to make exercise regimes and healthy eating fun – I’ve got you guys! So, in the spirit of seizing the moment, let’s get going!

Look The Part

Going to a pilates class is a lot more fun when I’m in the right outfit – this is just a fact. Whether you’re on track to be a pilates pro like me (I really am trying) or prefer hitting the gym, putting on a cute workout look is the quickest way to get you in the mood to SWEAT and make the whole process less daunting (especially if you’re a newbie). I’m particularly loving chocolatey brown hued sets at the moment in the spirit of embracing this season’s ‘It’ colour.

The Right Tools

Heading off to your pilates class, the gym or out for a run in a beautifully coordinated workout set in an on-trend seasonal colour is one thing, but I need help from the right workout tools, too. Whether it’s pilates and yoga mats in bright, happy colours to get those endorphins flowing, dumbbells in equally vibrant shades, or Apple AirPods Max Wireless Headphones to blast my go-to workout playlist. These things all make it so much easier to stick to my routine.

Greens, Juices, Smoothies & More

One part of my health and wellness journey that always feels just so wholesome is the juices and smoothies that I make pre and post-workout. Plus, they’re great fuel for whatever kind of day you’re planning to have. Bloom and Free Soul are great options, and when it comes to whipping up smoothies at home, nutribullet makes things easy. Another great tip is to invest in an ice maker, it’s such a timesaver.
