The comfiest shoes of the season deserve some killer outfits

Temperatures – dropped. Knitwear – bought. Coats – invested in. What’s left on my autumn/winter dressing checklist? Ah … UGGs. If we all choose just one cosy shoe option for our cold-weather wardrobes, I truly believe that there is no high-heel-clad footwear fanatic here that wouldn’t opt for a pair of UGGs (myself included). But, as much as I love donning these snuggly sheepskin lined shoes with cosy cashmere sets, there’s more than one way to style them. Think jeans and oversized blazers to give everyday looks a comfy finish, or with sweatpants and knitwear on snowy excursions. I’m also not adverse to classing up my UGGs with an exotic Hermès bag.

I’m definitely more of a mini UGG kind of girl and I also love the slip-on Tazz style. I feel like these UGGs are the easiest to slot into my everyday freeze-proof ensembles this season. So let’s get into how I love styling mine.

Ugg Ultra Mini Platform

This mini but mighty gem is now one of my all-time favourite shoes of this season. With the undeniably cosy appeal of classic UGG boots but in a simple mini design that’s so easy to slip into, this pair is a trusty cold-weather staple and a travel must. Long car journeys to a country getaway, plane journeys to the French Alps, or simply trips to your boyfriend’s house – these Classic Ultra Mini Platform Boots are the all-rounders you’ll want to be wearing. I love adding a cashmere set, a hoodie and sweatpants or jeans and a traditional knit.

Tazz

Tazz is another favourite UGG style of mine. They’re not technically boots but they’re certainly no less cosy of an alternative, plus with the added ease of being slip-ons. The Tazz is another UGG option with a cool flatform sole that makes the design super fun and contemporary and differentiates it from the brand’s more traditional styles. I personally love the UGGbraid detail across the ankle – it adds a more unique update. And now let’s style them. Despite their super-casual look, I’m often in the mood to pair these with more elevated everyday outfits as the ultimate snuggly finish. Think super wide-leg trousers, jeans, long coats and knitwear … plus the odd Hermès bag thrown in for good measure.
