Let's Style The 'It' Colour Of The Season

Trends that centre around one specific colour are some of my favourites, and often the ones I find easiest to style. Whether it’s perfectly monochromatic looks displaying varying shades of the same on-trend hue, or a pop of one colour in an otherwise simple outfit that brings the whole ensemble together. Brown has quickly emerged as the colour of the moment – and I’m so here for it! Autumn/Winter 2024 is all about a rich chocolatey brown hue that (as an added bonus) is just so easy to style. Let’s get into the brown pieces I’m loving this season … and where to shop them.

Out All Day

This kind of deep chocolate brown is so easy to look and feel elegant in – especially when you play with textures. Croc-effect leather and suede pieces, made a little more casual with everyday jeans. I love going luxe when it comes to the accessories – think point-toe leather ankle boots, elbow-length leather gloves, The Row’s Margaux bag in suede and statement sunglasses.

Chocolate, But Cosy

Chocolate brown is one of those shades that is super versatile. And I love it as part of cosy yet chic casual looks, complete with knitwear (all the relaxed turtlenecks I can get, please!), and cute tech accessories. High-Low Dressing

The key to my mastering of autumn/winter looks is fusing cosy comfort with smart touches, and everyone’s favourite colour of the moment makes doing so easy. A cosy chocolate brown knit paired with a suede maxi skirt, and finished with your brown suede bag of choice (I vote Bottega Veneta’s Andiamo), plus heeled boots and chunky gold jewellery. Voilà!
