... WHILE YOU STILL CAN
I’ve been gawking at the new H&M Autumn/Winter 2024 collection online and audibly gasping. I can’t be the only one! Call it a comeback, call it a renaissance, call it what you want. All I know is that it’s made H&M the most talked about brand on the high street right now. Whatever budget you’re working with, the new pieces from H&M’s AW24 offering are an actual dream.
The brand has recruited supermodels in the making Lila Moss and Loli Bahia, along with the queen of Brat Girl summer-turned autumn Charli XCX and a host of fashion’s most stylish ‘It’ girls to star in the campaign. It seems the high street hero is heading back to its Scandi roots (yes, H&M is a Swedish brand, I didn’t know this either). And, oh my, the things the brand is doing with sheer fabrics, soft tailoring and leopard print. Where do I sign up?!?! Speaking of signing up, a lot of the collection is (unsurprisingly) already sold out. However, lots of gems are still available and there are even more items listed as coming soon for you to have on your radar! So let’s get shopping!

READY TO MAKE A STATEMENT?
If, like me, you share the belief that true style doesn’t need to scream to be heard, then this collection is for you! The co-ords are proving impressive. My personal favourite? A shirt and mini skirt combo in burgundy, the colour of the moment, made from coated fabric that looks just like patent leather. Also scoring big are hardware-heavy embellishments on everything from bags to shoes and statement chunky jewellery that nods to vintage trends while still feeling super contemporary.

Switch Up Your Knits
Knitwear for cold weather is about as original a style statement as florals for spring. However, for its autumn/winter 2024 collection, H&M is switching up the traditional knitwear tropes in favour of fun fuzzy textures, bold embellishments and versatile silhouettes that feel so new and original. Think a mohair tank and micro shorts combo with rhinestone embellished trims that you could wear with boots, tights and a trench coat for dinner and drinks, or slippers while enjoying cosy times at home. This is knitwear like we’ve not seen it before.
Cool Girls Doing Business
I’ve always favoured dressing a little smarter for autumn, and H&M’s new offering makes this easy. Split skirts in leather and wool, plus dark khaki green trousers that will pair with white shirts and rich brown knits like a dream. Whatever way you work, there’s always room in your wardrobe for timeless classics that you can dress up or down. This high-street favourite has even managed to breathe new life into chequered patterns!

GETTING DRESSED WITH ATTITUDE
Getting all dressed up doesn’t have to mean sparkly party dresses and statement maxi gowns. According to H&M’s newest collection, this autumn/winter season is all about putting together your outfits with attitude. There’s a big focus on leather, suede (of course), and accessories that look a LOT more expensive than they are.
