MFW OUTFIT DIARY

Ti amo, Milano

If New York is for those who love big city style and London for trendsetters seeking experimental ideas and bold new concepts, then Milano is for the romantics, the tastemakers. Those with a flair for style that makes members of the fashion set flock from every corner of the world to this marvellous city twice a year in search of.

From a celebration of Madonna’s Blond Ambition at Dolce & Gabbana to Roberto Cavalli’s supermodel-packed party, vintage ‘60s holiday dressing at Gucci and mind-bending, algorithm-rejecting styling over at Prada. Milan Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2025 was one for the memories. And busy, as always. My outfits (and my feet) had to keep up with the craziness.

So let’s get into all of my looks. Read and shop the breakdown below!

ETRO

Etro has come a long way since its inception in the ‘60s but its roots in Milanese sophistication and textile printing still stand. So I wanted to include a subtle print in my look for the SS25 show with this cropped chocolate brown blazer. I paired it with a knitted dress with a draped scarf detail, and a denim skirt layered over the top for something a little different. Plus, western-inspired boots and the label’s popular Vela bag.

GCDS

The statement streetwear and graphic designs of GCDS called for something sleek and super contemporary. I loved this white mini teamed with a black blazer, and accessorised with the label’s white monogram Comma Notte bag and shoes to match.

Max Mara

Max Mara has perfected the art of soft tailoring so for the SS25 show, it was only fitting I focused on classic sophisticated silhouettes with a casual feel. This turtleneck teamed with a navy wool knit short coat knotted at the waist and midi pencil skirt was perfect. And to finish, black point-toe heels and my Hermès Elan bag in bright blue.

Prada

Over at Prada, it was all about having fun with house classics so I went with a cosy sweater and softly sculpted midi skirt that was actually backless for a bold play on a traditional business-ready silhouette, plus a longline coat that (thankfully) covered everything! Styled, of course, with my new Prada Aimée bag and the label’s signature point-toe flats.

Roberto Cavalli

Creative Director Fausto Puglisi did a beautiful job at honouring the late and great Roberto Cavalli with this SS25 show. It was vibrant animal prints and supermodels galore and turned out to be one of my absolute favourites of MFW. I wore a velvet-effect dress in emerald and black tones (the same print as Naomi Campbell and I was in awe). To make it a signature bold Cavalli look, I accessorised with rectangular sunglasses, elbow-length leather gloves and a croc-effect top-handle bag complete with tiger-motif gold hardware. So glam.

Versace

At Versace, it was all about the joy of the Canadian tuxedo. A denim corset top and blazer paired with wide-leg jeans (these are so unbelievably comfy I can’t recommend enough), and the label’s signature gold Medusa logo hardware details throughout. Black point-toe pumps and Versace’s Kleio bag for a sleek finish that gave the look a more formal edge.

Gucci

My look for Gucci SS25 was one of my favourites. A simple button-up jacket and shorts set, cinched in at the waist with a black leather belt featuring a small silver Gucci GG logo (that’s right, Gucci logo belts are making a comeback). My go-to Gucci Jackie 1961 bag and statement cat-eye sunglasses in Rosso Ancora finished the look. Plus shiny leather Horsebit boots in a similar rich burgundy hue for a contemporary twist on the classic equestrian aesthetic at the brand’s roots. Let’s just say it was giving Gucci.

Dolce & Gabbana

For Dolce & Gabbana, it was Madonna’s world and we were all just lucky enough to be living in it. As models walked the runway in platinum blonde wigs and bustier corset dress, I was channelling my own Blond Ambition in a strappy black mesh midi, detailed with the label’s signature floral lace appliqués, and accessorised with D&G’s Sicily bag, point-toe stilettos, cat-eye sunglasses and statement logo drop earrings.

SHOP MY LOOK

Ferragamo

Despite its origins as a footwear brand, I’ve always been in awe of Ferragamo’s ability to capture Italian sophistication and simplicity through its ready-to-wear designs. Every autumn I find myself longing for the label’s dreamy brown and neutral shades. So I went with a cap-sleeve jersey dress sporting a statement gold buckle detail with draping at the side, nodding to this season’s new love of Goddess-inspired dressing, plus the Ferragamo Hug bag. And it wouldn’t be a Ferragamo look without statement shoes.

SHOP MY LOOK

Brunello Cucinelli

Brunello Cucinelli is doing incredible things right now. So for the brand’s SS25 presentation, I needed to show up looking like I meant business but in a laid-back Italian way with that easy flair that Cucinelli does best. My answer was a long knit dress worn with a belt loosely fastening at my hips and leather accessories to match.

Loro Piana

Quiet luxury has been deafening in recent seasons. And no brand does this simple style phenomenon like Loro Piana. The heritage Italian label continues to stay true to its roots. I went with a softly tailored suit with elegant draping along one side and exaggerated lapels, finished with brown leather accessories – elevated minimalism made easy.

And so another MFW is over. The SS25 season has been a very special one and I’m so grateful for all of the memories. See you in Paris!
