Low Waist Dresses We All Love

I feel like we keep seeing them everywhere

Hello my lovelies,

today we’re opening a hot topic that’s been popping up more and more, and I must say, I’m incredibly excited about it. As you might have guessed from the title, we’re talking about low-waist dresses. These beauties have snuck back into the fashion spotlight and show no signs of slowing down. After the eras dominated by oversized, casual styles, I’m thrilled to see femininity and softer styles making a grand comeback. Not that you won’t see me in those other styles anymore, but certainly less so. I wanted to take you through this trend today, chat about what’s out there in high street and high-end, and share some of my recent outfits. Let’s break it down!

The first and most recent outfit you saw on Instagram was during my visit to L’ultima Cena, which was absolutely breathtaking! If you’re in Milan, it’s a must-see. The Renaissance is truly one of my favourite periods – a rebirth! I feel the same way about the current fashion scene; after “darker and moodier” days, as I mentioned earlier, the light of femininity is shining through. The outfit consists of a Cos white low-waist dress, a Khaite cashmere sweater draped over the shoulders, Alaia white ballet flats with crystals, my favourite jewellery, a grey Kelly bag, and Loewe sunglasses that are finally back in stock!

This next one is a bit different, but it still features the type of dress we’re discussing today. It’s a cutout maxi dress by Gabriela Hearst. It’s so unique yet incredibly simple, don’t you think? These dresses elongate the legs beautifully and are perfect for warm days, not to mention they make getting dressed a breeze. I paired this particular dress with Alaia crystal ballet flats, but this time in black. If you’re interested in a more detailed report on the ballet flats trend, check it out here. I added my favourite Phoebe Philo sunglasses and for a pop of colour, my Rouge H Kelly bag. This wedding weekend was amazing!

Next up is a strapless dress from ESSE Studios in this gorgeous brown shade. I paired it with a new Loewe bag, which gives off the perfect summer vibe, in my opinion. Since the bag features gold accents, I chose gold sandals from Amanu, which I think I’ll be wearing a lot this summer. As for accessories, I included an AP watch and these oversized Tom Ford sunglasses with yellow-orange lenses, like a filter.

The last outfit from my Barcelona trip features a long black dress, also from ESSE Studios. They have so many variations of this dress! I wanted to keep things simple this time, so I stuck with an all-black theme, including my new LV bag, ballet flats from The Row, my favourite jewellery, and these black, slightly cat-eye sunglasses.

As you can see, the combinations are truly endless. I wore all of these looks during the day, which is why they’re paired with flat shoes, but I think heels would look fantastic with dresses like these as well. The sizes and styles vary, and in the selection below, you’ll find some shorter options too, so there’s something for everyone. Happy shopping, my dears!
