Best Purchases Of The 2023

The year is coming to an end and I decided to look through my wardrobe and my images to see which items were in my opinion – the absolute best purchases of 2023. This little highly scientific research was conducted by thinking which pieces I had the most wear out of. You know the true science stuff and all.

You could have seen me wearing these Bottega Veneta mules a lot in September in October, they were definitely the shoes I wore the most during fashion week. When I first got them and didn’t think they would be this comfortable and easy to style with everything, but they quickly became my favourites. Even though we are in the colder months I still grab any chance I have here and there to wear these. (ok sometimes with socks specially because nobody will know)

The Saint Laurent Lee heels are one the coolest and most flattering shoes I have bought this year. Love pairing them with the signature Saint Laurent skirt and blazer look as well as long jeans so they are just peeking through. The first colour I got were the burgundy, I have also purchased the same style of shoe in a brown/beige and black colour but I think burgundy still remains the most worn for me this year.

By now you must already be sick of me telling you about these jeans and seeing me wear them almost every day since getting them, but they deserve every mention they get. I purchased the Khaite jeans towards the end of the year, more specifically November, and they quickly became one of my most worn items this year. So comfortable yet cool, I really can not recommend them enough.

The Wardrobe.NYC sets have been life savers for me in many situations. Not only do they always look super sleek and put together, you can mix and match various different pieces. The vest and trousers combo I have in a few different variations but my favourite are the black and white . I usually wear those a lot during spring and summer. When it starts getting a little bit colder I always pull out the beige set they made in collaboration with Hailey Bieber.

I initially got this dress back in June and never thought I would get much wear out of it after, but I was wrong. This is the most perfect summer date night dress you will ever get, and you can style it in so many ways. It looks gorgeous glistening in the sunset and you can wear it with flats or heels, depending on what kind of vibe you are going for. Its such a gorgeous piece that I feel I’ll own forever.

It’s not a secret that these were my most worn shoes in the second half of the year, but let’s talk about early summer, because I feel like I was not taking these off. The Saint Laurent beige mules with wooden heel were my absolute find of the summer. So comfortable yet cool, I can not wait for next summer so I can start wearing them again. I have since then bought a few other variations such as the satin white, black leather, creme sparkly and a recent gift from Xenia – black with gold chain detail. Although I love them all, no pair has come close to how much I’ve worn the beige.

This Gucci hat is and will continue to be my most worn hat of the year. So perfect for the beach, making sure that your full face is completely protected from the sun, and as I love reading on the beach it also gives the perfect shade for that. I wore it on my summer and winter vacations and can not wait for Dubai, so I can bring it with me!

After going through my wardrobe I also had a look through my accessory compartment and realised this post would not be complete without including my absolute favourite belt of the year – this Khaite studded belt. It is the perfect addition to any trousers or jeans and immediately levels up your outfit.
