Autumn Skincare Favourites – Face and Body

KEEPING YOUR FACE AND BODY MOISTURISED IN THE COLDER MONTHS

Looking to change up your skincare regimen in preparation for the upcoming colder months? In the winter, our skin suffers from the cold weather and changes in temperature. The outcome is usually inflamed, dry skin that is more likely to break out. But by now, I have really set my skincare routine to keep me moisturised and glowy as being on camera doesn’t do our skin any justice.

The most important winter skincare tip is to not completely switch up your product lineup. Instead, it is advisable to pay attention to your skin and customise your regimen by switching out one or two products, as consistency is key when it comes to skincare. I recommend using an oil based cleanser to start of your skincare with a hydrating product already. Use an exfoliator after using a cleanser to get rid of dead skin cells and give your skin a healthy sheen. Exfoliants also aid in reducing redness, a problem that is prevalent at this time of year. Finally, remember to moisturise throughout the day, every day. At night I like to moisturise with even thicker creams, serums and oils, than I usually do in the morning.

Even though most of our skin is covered up at this time of year, it still requires care and love. The accumulation of dead skin cells that results from neglecting it can cause excessively dry, dull, and flaky skin. I put together a list of products that keeps my skin nourished, healthy and smelling amazing all through winter.
