COLOURS OF THE SEASON
In case you missed it, red has been deemed the official autumn colour. I usually loved it for festive season but somethings have changed and red is more popular than ever. The colour was prevalent on the catwalks, and a search for “red fall trend” on TikTok has amassed an incredible amount of views. One thing is for sure, if a trend is on TikTok, it will soon find its way to you. Although red may appear like a summer colour, it works well to warm up chilly fall days and nights. To help you start wearing it more often, I have gathered all of my favourite red and burgundy pieces available online.
While you might be hesitant to try the striking hue, you can ease into the trend with a red purse or shoes dressed in muted tones. Your go-to khaki trench coat or favourite black blazer will surely look great with a bold handbag, or a classic shoe like a kitten heel or loafer. The best part is, whatever you purchase won’t be going out of style the following season because the colour is timeless.
If you don’t mind going all out with your look, you can try a head to toe red look, which we could have seen all over the runways, and you will surely have all eyes on you. Although I love a bold red piece, I found myself only wearing it a couple of times so far, but the colour that has been a favourite of mine is burgundy. You might find styling it a little easier, so I incorporated items in both colours and different shades.
Red always seemed like such an aggressive colour to me, one thats used for warning signs and alarms but I feel that could also change soon for me, what do you think?
