HAUTE COUTURE IN PARIS
This Haute Couture Fashion Week was only 3 days so it was shorter than usual, as afterwards I was off to Saint Tropez with Audemars Piguet, but I wanted to make the most out of my days in Paris.
In that time I attended the Giambattista Valli show, Elie Saab Show, Louis Vuitton Presentation, visited Coco Chanel’s apartment with the Chanel team and went all the way to Chantilly with Valentino. You can see more of what I was up to in my YouTube video.
All three shows I attended were absolutely incredible, but I have to say the Valentino one was a whole experience. It was my first time visiting Château de Chantilly and it was out of this world. Pierpaolo Piccoli really did something completely new and fresh. Imagine Kaia Gerber in a crisp white shirt and jeans, he gave the most accessible and wearable garment in the world a couture makeover by embroidering it with thousands of tiny pearls in 80 different shades of blue. Instead of a princess gown with a 12-foot train, this was his opening look. The show finished with all the atelier workers walking out with Pierpaolo and I have to say it was really emotional.
Another incredible experience I have been wanting to do for a while is visiting Coco Chanel’s apartment, which is unfortunately closed for general public, but it was so incredible to see where she would spend her days, watching the making of couture gowns and working.
To end the fashion week, I did some damage in Chanel, but a girl has got to treat herself for working hard, right? I bought all together 11 new items which you can check out here.
