Both the dress and the jacket have been on my wish-list ever since the Saint Laurent SS23 Show
It was either both items or neither – this is how I envisioned it styled so it had to be done. As previously mentioned sheer is the trend of SS23, but I still like to keep it cool and covered up, so the leather jacket is perfect.
This jacket is where its all at. If I am completely honest with you my friend Xenia got it during PFW and while I wore long leather trench I thought I totally needed the short version too. Its giving such power vibes and I was here for it.

The styling
In Anthony Vaccarello’s SS23 collections we could have seen a variety of these sheer knit maxi dresses, all paired with long floor length coats or leather jackets.
The looks on the runway were styled with chunky gold jewellery, but for today’s look I opted for the large silver Bottega Veneta earrings. Keep in mind I’m very much into my silver phase, even if burgundy and gold are a match made in heaven.

Deep Oxblood
We could see some inspiration taken from the Saint Laurent 1980s era, especially in the colour palette that was presented in the collection. From Mauve, Deep Oxblood to Chartreuse – the collection really took us back in time.
Big leather jackets with a vintage vibe are present even in his (not yet available) AW23 but I just had together my hands on (no pun intended) this SS23 version of pure leather perfection.
Despite the price tag I think this is a piece that had to make it into my wardrobe. What do you think?
