HEALTHY BODY, HEALTHY MIND
Social media has been promoting a new trend lately – the importance of taking care of your physical and mental health. While some may have mixed feelings about trends, the wellness trend is undoubtedly better than the R&R trend of the 90s. With just one click on YouTube or Tiktok, you can find an abundance of videos on healthy habits such as waking up at 5am, eating well, green juicing, and practicing a mix of pilates and yoga. I have always been very conscious about eating healthy and feeling great in my body. As I have recently taken a wellness trip with Dior Beauty which you can check out here, and got to talk to all these experts on taking care of your mind and body – that inspired me to share my tips and tricks with you.
PILATES

One thing that truly captured my heart during my recent trip was Pilates. I participated in two 30-minute classes by Bryony Deery, which were enough to activate my core and even leave me with a bit of muscle soreness. The slow yet powerful movements were a perfect fit for me, leaving me feeling great after each session. What I loved most about Pilates was the calmness it brought to my mind and the connection it gave me with my body. Even during the more challenging exercises, my body never went into panic mode, only working on the specific muscles targeted by each exercise. Unlike the discomfort I sometimes experience in gym classes, there was no crazy heart rate or unpleasant situations. For me, Pilates was a 10/10. Having always enjoyed pilates, but somehow never found my time for attending classes, I made a perfect discovery for my lifestyle. Bryony created a fitness app, which I have since then downloaded and really sticking to the daily 30 minute pilates workout.
JOURNALING
You may be curious about my morning routine. Journaling has been a practice of mine for years, I have also talked about this in my YouTube video. That is how I start each morning, no phone, just my coffee, my journal and my thoughts. In my opinion this is the key to a happy day, starting it with writing end thinking of some small things you are grateful for and writing it down. I like to write down 5-10 things I’m grateful for and my intentions for the day. This sets me on the right path and fills me with positive energy just minutes after waking up. Some people write affirmations for their day, plans for the day or even manifestations. You just have to find the right thing for you.
One of the highlights of my wellness trip was meeting Laura Rubin, an expert in journaling. She taught us different techniques for getting our thoughts and emotions onto paper. I particularly enjoyed her class on journaling and wanted to share my technique with you. Laura Rubin also has a set of prompting cards by AllSwell, and my favorite one is “when was quitting the right thing to do?” Give it a try and answer the question in your journal.

YOGA
Yoga has been hailed as a soul-nurturing practice, but how many of us actually commit to it? Personally, I’ve always found yoga to be a bit monotonous until I attended Luiz Broetto’s class. It was like a luxurious stretch for my mind and spirit. I was hooked! The class took place at sunset, adding an extra layer of serenity to the experience. I realized that there’s more to yoga than meets the eye, and it’s all about finding the right fit for your mind and body. You won’t know until you try.

HEALTHY EATING

When it comes to eating healthy I really listen to my body and that is what works best for me. Most time, the food I crave is healthy and fresh, but on the nights I want pizza or pasta I won’t deprive myself of it.
I firmly believe in the adage “healthy body, healthy mind,” and that includes nutrition. During my trip, I had the chance to meet with Rose Ferguson for a one-on-one appointment. She expertly explained why I should drink more water and provided tips on making it more appealing. Additionally, she advised me on which foods would best suit my lifestyle. Her friendly yet knowledgeable approach exceeded my expectations.
SPA TREATMENTS

Of course, no wellness trip is complete without some indulgence. I enjoyed a body exfoliation treatment at the Dior Spa, as well as an incredible facial that utilized blue light. These treatments nourished my skin after a sunny holiday and gave me a beautiful glow. The Dior Spa was nothing like I imagined; instead of being cold and vast, it was warm and inviting, filled with state-of-the-art equipment and specialists who helped me get in top shape. Finally, the Endosphere massage was a true revelation for me, and I would love to have this treatment on a weekly basis if possible.

If you’re looking for a comprehensive wellness experience, Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc is the place to be. The Dior Spa offers a range of treatments, while Bryony’s Pilates classes will whip you into shape. Don’t forget to pay attention to your nutrition and give yourself ample time to relax. Invest in a new notebook and explore the benefits of journaling. Remember, your well-being should always be a top priority. Can we all agree on that?
