MFW – What I wore in Milano

MILAN FASHION WEEK

Third fashion week in the fashion month marathon is Milan. Milan being the home of many of my favourite brands, means a packed calendar even though I tried to cut it down as much as possible. Just when I hear Gucci, Fendi, Prada I get all Bambi eyed excited to see all the new collections, as well as what my colleagues will wear.

I picked a large variety of outfits from all the brands, so you could have seen everything from mini dresses, to maxi ones, embelished dresses or classic ones, there were many statement pieces. Take a look at all of my MFW looks and let me know your favourite! I know that my most loyal followers from instagram would have already seen these looks (If you don’t follow me, you can change that by joining out @tamara community), but here is all of it in a little more detail.

FENDI

If you are subscribed to my YouTube channel or following my TikTok, you could have seen the slight mishap we had with this outfit, as the trousers zipper broke moments before we had to leave for the show. Thankfully we quickly came up with the idea to sew it to me and the outfit looked perfectly fine. When it comes to dressing in a rush these things happen, specially with samples and its a normal part of my job. I loved the grey sweater with an open back, that you can wear rolled up to show the FF logo, or put down to have a basic grey sweater. Paired with a bright pink bag and sneakers for a perfect contrast. Skirt/Pants seem to be a big hit for the next season.

MAX MARA

One of the looks I would definitely wear on a day to day basis was my Max Mara look. I love a monochrome moment especially in white, so I also decided to pair it with Saint Laurent heels and a white Gucci Jackie bag.

I know that many of you often comment that fashion week outfits are too different and difficult to relate to, but I really tried to stay true to myself, stick to dressiness of the occasion but also be as relatable as possible – I think this Max Mara outfit is the proof.

GCDS

Safe to say I was absolutely freezing at the GCDS show, but it was worth it. It was a daring moment with the very mini dress and cut out, but at the same time the colour black made it more classic.

I love the direction that GCDS is heading too, making me feel empowered, sexy but all while sticking to being well fitted. Love the detailing on the straps and the heels that elongate the legs.

GUCCI

The Gucci show outfit made it’s way to my top 5 favourite outfits of all fashion months so far. The dress spoke for itself, velvet brown with some embroidery and a cutout. Wanted to keep the dress the star of the show, so I paired it with white heels and again the white Gucci Jackie bag.

Im not sure where I can find this dress online, as this was a sample I borrowed for the show – but if you find it let me know because I want to buy it immediately.

PRADA

The first outing of my new Prada Moon bag was to nowhere else but the Prada show. I am still thinking about this outfit as its classic but cool, the set looks almost like a costume from a movie. The skirt and jacket have a kind of paper crinkle effect, while the shoes are a new season version of one of my most worn Prada Mary Jane pumps.

Personally I love Prada ready to wear but somehow their shoes have been a true discovery for me having those two pairs that I simply cannot go anywhere without.

ETRO

A little back story behind this look. I received a top that did not fit me, so up until the last few hours before the show I wasn’t sure if the right top will arrive on time. On top of that I had broken my toe that day and also wasn’t sure how I was going to walk in these shoes, but as you can tell it all worked out perfectly. The top, trousers and bag print was the same, and although the shoes are not really my style, I think they went really well with the look.

EMPORIO ARMANI

Not a dress I would usually go for, but I enjoy trying out different looks from time to time, that is in the end what fashion is all about – experimenting. I went with a maxi sparkly dress, which I paired with a pink bag.

Armani had also gifted me a lot of items that I had already in the past purchased on my own, so I did my makeup with only their items.

DOLCE & GABANNA

And last fashion show of Milan Fashion Week – Dolce & Gabbana. I wore a total look from the previous collection they did in collaboration with Kim Kardashian, who was also at the show. I loved this vintage classic look with a bit of spice. After I finished all my shows of the season I also treated myself with a bowl of pasta – in true spirit of the previous collection.

DOLCE & GABANNA DINNER

The night after the show I also had another look for the exclusive dinner the brand prepared for us, the look I wore made me feel like a princess. I love this neutral silk and felt really special wearing it.
