NYFW Looks

NEW YORK FASHION WEEK

This season New York fashion week was about half as long as the previous season, but it somehow felt just as hectic. While I have tried really carefully choosing the shows I wanted to attend this season, there are just so many amazing ones, that my calendar was yet again packed.

In this post I have found all the looks that I picked to wear to the fashion shows so if any of them caught your eye, you can easily shop them.

PROENZA SCHOULER

Proenza Schouler never fails to amaze me. This season the brand had sent me two looks to choose from, a mini black puffy dress, and this all white look with a bit of spice. The gorgeous top features a gold chain as detail, paired with flattering white pants and most important – a warm coat on these cold days. I paired the look with my new Bottega Veneta shoes that have a gold detail, this extra yellow gold bag and a pair of some sparkly Jimmy Choo sunglasses.

HERON PRESTON

Probably my coolest look this NYFW – Heron Preston. One of the only evening shows I attended this season, but I have to say I was very grateful to have a comfortable look. I wore a corset and some cargo jeans, paired with my favourite piece from this look – a blazer with cut outs. I added some Prada orange heels that matched the details on the clothing perfectly, and what bag to wear other than my mini Kelly?

AREA

If you watched my NYFW Vlog on YouTube you could have seen I had some troubles with this dress, but I loved it so much I wore it even with the zipper broken – I just successfully hid it with my coat. Paired with my Saint Laurent sunnies, I feel like it gave the whole outfit a kind of futuristic look.

ADEAM

Don’t let the coat and boots fool you – I was actually freezing. It was a very cold and windy day in New York on the day or the Adeam show. Nonetheless, I did my best to cover up. I wore the Adeam knit dress and their coat, with my beloved Miu Miu boots that I have purchased just before fashion week started, but have already worn them a lot. Added a mini Kelly bag and off to the show we go.

KHAITE

For Khaite I wanted to wear something that felt chic and elegant – two words to describe Khaite. I had on a full knit Prada set in gray, paired it with Saint Laurent boots, a black coat and this Khaite bag that has now become my every day bag. Love the subtle logo, simple look.

ALTUZARRA

This was a tricky look, although it might not seem like it, there are 5 pieces to the look and if you add changing in the car running between the shows to that, you can only imagine the struggle. While I was picking my look for the show from the look book, this was the one I was most excited to finally try on, and I absolutely loved it. Quickly ran to the Vogue x Altuzarra after party in this look and that was my Valentine’s night.

MICHAEL KORS

The Michael Kors look was a dream – from the colour, to the material, to the comfort it was a full package. The dress paired beautifully with a knit over my shoulders – that was actually a scarf made to look like a sweater, as it didn’t have a hole to put your head through. The belt I had my eye on since I saw it on the runway in September, so I wanted to keep it for myself. Went for very minimalist gold bag and sandals to complete the look.

BRANDON MAXWELL

When I saw this look on the runway, I immediately knew I have to get it and wear it. If you have been following my posts and videos lately, you might have noticed I have an obsession with the colour navy. This beautiful sequin mini skirt was the star of the show – or was it my new Cargo Birkin bag? You decide. Paired with a simple knit and blazer to tone it down a bit and create the navy – black mix. I have to say I loved my shoes as well, but later found out the model never made it to production – and I had to return my pair. At least I have this pictures to remember them, am I right?
