Hermes Colour Palette for 2023

Ever since starting my Hermès collection I’ve been a fan of the brand’s rich and grandiose colour offerings. I have a special place in my heart for colourful as well as neutral bags, and I do have to say I have my own little collection of black Hermes bags. Sure thing I am currently reaching for more neutral bags mostly, but the truth is I admire a beautiful colour more than anyone.

For 2023, there’s a new cohort of colour options available. New is not technically the correct word since the 2023 colours are returning favourites. There seems to be no new colour offerings this season but this is certainly made up for by the vast array of hues making a comeback.

Some colours will now be offered in exotic leathers, including ostrich and lizard. And it looks like the wide variety in colour offerings extends to the exotic leathers too. Hope this post will be useful for you, I find the research part great as its easier to fill in my wishlist.

In this post, I’m going to provide you with an overview of the Hermès 2023 colours. I’ll explain which shades I’m excited about the return of, why I’m upset about the absence of certain hues and which colours I have my eye on!

Pink, Purple, Red

The Rose Pop bold pink colour is making a comeback. This probably is the one I would personally avoid, but I know that Hermès pinks are particularly popular.

In 2021 we could have seen the return of Mauve Sylvestre, but this year, coming along with the “Mermaid trend” a Pale Mauve colour is returning.

And perhaps my favourite, Rogue H is a chic deep red colour, which I think would look best in smooth leather and Hermès Kelly version.

Chic Red

As previously mentioned, my favourite from the pinks and reds has to be Rogue H. It’s a true Hermès colour and together with Rouge Casak one of my favourite reds. I don’t know if it’s the “Parisian” in me, but I really do love this deep red and can see it on the streets of Paris, this time worn by the French and not tourists.

The only thing I have to say is that somehow I don’t reach to my Burgundy tone bags as much as I would have liked to. It seems like a perfect autumn colour, but then stays more on the shelf than on my arm – maybe we can change that in 2023

Gorgeous Greens

I’m delighted to see the return of Vert Fizz which is a very muted, pale green colour, that I think will be best worn in the spring and summer months.

The colour is elegant and chic, perfect if you’re in search of a classic looking Kelly but don’t want a neutral shade. The popular Vert Fonce is also making a comeback.

I have a classic Chanel Flap in a colour very similar to Vert Fizz so I would personally lean towards Vert Fonce, just love this green – its close to Malachite which has been on my mind for longer than Id like to admit.

Caban

Blue and Neutral Tones

Caban is a very special colour making a comeback. Somewhere between very dark blue and black.

I say a come back, but this was a new colour introduced for winter 2022. I remember seeing it in the boutique in Milan being offered to lady in front of me and it looked like a classic black but you somehow see it isn’t. I really love slight twists in classic like that and feel that we simply can’t have enough of off whites, beiges, greys and blacks.

On that note, big welcome to Caban – maybe I can get a bag int his colour next time when I want to get another black as at the moment I have four black Hermés bags. Its somewhat close to navy which we know I am totally obsessed with at the moment.

Bleu de Prusse

Gris Etain

New White

Warm Undertones

From the classic Fauve making a comeback, to the gorgeous Orange Minium that stands out, you really can’t go wrong with any of these. Natural Sable is somewhere between a mustard yellow and brown. I would call it another addition to classic Gold and Sesame.

I have two bags in colour Gold in my collections and I really love to wear them. For that reason I would really recommend this colour. I have to add I also love Chai and Biscuit from the deeper colours, but also Trench on the lighter side. Those colours are not in 2023 list.
