Staying in Isn’t so bad

Almost 10 years ago when I was opening this blog, never have I ever thought I would be writing something like this. I mean, I moved countries, I have been in shelters, I even survived two wars, one earthquake, and still have to say that this came kinda unexpected.

Only two weeks ago my biggest problem seemed to be sold out pair of Amina Muaddi’s Gilda sandals, but today it's somewhat different.

Ok, we all got it I’m exaggerating, even someone that seems to only write about fashion and beauty does have real life problems even when many influencers pretend they don’t and they try to portray. This image of perfect life.

All of sudden we found ourselves fighting the same problem. No work, no friends, no going out, online queue of 3 hours trying to order groceries, and our household didn’t really stock up. So no, I do not have 300 toilet paper rolls or snacks to last me while I watch Netflix.

My whole life has been preparing me for this. I already lived in isolation, I already witnessed empty racks of supermarkets, and the bread prices which were sky rocketing because of the black market and it being the biggest commodity one can find. So no, nothing surprises me.

I am mentally stronger than ever, and I am here to share with you my best tips on how to survive this time. Which, just like anything else, good or bad, will go away.

If you do have roof above your head, you are sharing it with some people that you like, you have internet connection, maybe even subscription to movie services, you have full fridge of your favourite food, books and phone to call your friend you are basically more privileged than most of the people in this world.  We are all scared and worried of loosing someone we love, maybe more so than actually contracting the virus ourselves, but if we want to protect those who protected us when we couldn’t, we need to stay in.

I will repeat WE NEED TO STAY IN.

I am going to write a set or articles which will have a separate tab on my blog. That will be updated on daily basis and you will have content on favourite movies, TV shows, staying at home tricks and how to keep busy. You will be able to find all my tricks, personal stories and I will make sure to keep you entertained for as long as this period Is lasting. A Big commitment, but I have to say that I started this blog without any monetisation, out of pure love and passion, and I am in a way happy that I am back to that. Writing, out of my heart, trying to be helpful to you guys, trying to make friends in the internet space, without it being my job.

xoxo,

Tamara
