Self Care Day

Hey my quaran-team!
How is everyone doing today?

Yesterday was a self care day over here. I decided to try and do as much as I can for myself, providing I am still living in a very tidy and clean environment. No better feeling.

I wanted to share with you some of the best tips to feel great once your mood is a little low. How to pick yourself up and give yourself a pampered feeling so let’s start.

I started the day with abs, legs and bottom work out. Donkey kicks, side kicks, sit ups, and all sorts of stuff I could find on YouTube. I didn’t stop until I could feel the burn. My favourite music was on the loudest possible, and I could feel endorphins hitting in. If you are spending quarantine alone, this would be the best way to start the day. This and writing, Writing your thoughts is also an exercise – just for your brain.

After this I stretched for the longest time, and focused on my breathing. This really helps me balance everything internally.

I then jumped in the shower, did a full body scrub using my favourite Jo Malone Vitamin E scrub. This product is just divine. I left the shower and moisturised my whole self with Chanel Vanille Oil, which seems to cheer me up whenever I use it.

Many of you have asked me how I intend of maintaining my nails during these months. For me its pretty easy, I have natural nails that don’t ask for much maintenance. Most of the time I would wear CND Nail polish in one of the following shades: Naked Naivete, Romantique or Cashmere Wrap. I still do that, as I have gotten all of them on Amazon + the UV lamp, base and top coat necessary to maintain my manicure.

If this seems a little bit ridiculous to you, that’s ok. I have plan B. Short, clean nails, with Chanel Base coat and nail polish in Ballerina. In case you want to try some more opaque colours, my favourites are OPI Be There in A Prosecco and Tiramisu For Two

That is what you would always see on my hands.

My hair has never in 31 years of age been healthier, smoother and longer, and I intend on filming a whole YouTube video about it. Yesterday I took a handful of Castor Oil and massaged it into the roots of my hair for at least 30 min. Castor oil is great, but the massage process is even more important. Why? Because it boosts circulation to the root of your hair, feeding it with many important nutrients, oxygen and supply that hair needs. I then washed it and continued my full routine.

If you are addicted to fake eye lashes but don’t know how to stop now is the best time. Wait for the lashes to grow out/fall out and start looking after your real ones. I filmed a whole video on my routine which is really simple. You can watch it HERE.

The largest organ and the most important mirror of the beauty for me. Skin is just so important and I am using this time to protect it from UV rays, to nourish it, give it a nice break from make up (even though I still do makeup for myself). I am taking time to really massage each product I apply on my skin and am specially relying on Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair, Acid Mask from Decree, La Mer Original Crème, La Mer Concentrate, Tata Harper Brightening Daily Concentrate, Sisley Black Rose Mask, which are some of my favourite skin care secrets of all times. I am using my jade roller and really enjoying this deep nourishing treatment.
