After years of testing hundreds of foundations, I am proud to say that I finally found an incredible product that perfectly matches my skin tone, has a great coverage and a lovely natural finish.
As you guys know, perfecting my base is the most important step in my makeup routine, and matching my skin tone with the perfect shade of foundation can be challenging. Last week, I was invited by Lancôme to experience Le Teint Particulier, Custom-Made Foundation service at Harrods, and at first, I must admit I was quite intrigued. I have been a fan of their Teint Idole Ultra Wear Foundation (comes in 45 different shades) but creating a Custom-Made Foundation, tailored to my skin shade and needs? It seemed too good to be true!

The Experience
With my coffee in hand, I entered Harrods ( have I mentioned that Harrods beauty department was recently refurbished? If not, you should definitely check out their incredibly glamorous and sophisticated new beauty heaven) excited to discover this bespoke service and provide you with a review on my experience with Lancôme.
Dazzled by the luxurious beauty counter, I was warmly welcomed by the Lancôme colour expert who helped me create my very own bespoke foundation. She started by making me familiar with the technology and formula used behind this service and she explained to me that there are up to 8,000 shade variations, with 3 different hydration levels and 3 finishes (light, medium and full coverage). She then proceeded to scan my face to measure my skin color while I selected my skin type (My skin is normal/dry so I opted for a slightly higher hydration level, which also adds some radiance and full coverage so I can wear it everyday and know it’s not going to fall off). The result? A completely bespoke foundation made just for me!
The Review
Created from scratch right in front of my eyes, my foundation was ready. Now, I know you are curious about the end result. Let me tell you something that I rarely say, it was ultimate perfection! The foundation came in a personalised bottle with my name and unique shade number, inside a luxurious gift box, which by the way makes
it the perfect Christmas gift! Impatient me, I tried the formula right away (long- wearing, oil-free, fragrance-free and paraben-free) and it was just the way I dreamed it. Flawless.
