One of the things that make me feel so grateful for being able to turn my passion to a business, is the way clothes make me feel. From dressing in floor-length evening gowns for Venice Film Festival to structured coats for a day full of Meetings, clothing is a strong universal language that everybody speaks and enjoys. I love to inspire you guys, and always create looks that are trendy yet wearable and for the past seasons I am on a mission to push my personal style a step further and try to style trends that in the past I would not be able to find a way to incorporate in my wardrobe, all while staying true to myself and my style without a compromise.

You could probably tell from my instagram lately, that one of the trends I currently love is mixing masculine and feminine elements together, heavy materials like leather with light ones like lace and silk. Prada’s Autumn/Winter 2019 collection, which previewed in February 2019, was when I saw for the first time their Monolith combat boots and I have to admit, it was an instant crush! I managed to get mine online at Luisa Via Roma in early August, predicting that Chunky Boots will be a huge trend this season, and a piece that will quickly become sold out everywhere. Balancing perfectly between statement and comfortable, I found myself living in them for months and I was shocked with the amount of compliments I received every time I wore them.

EVERYONE WANTS A PIECE OF THE NEW BOTTEGA VENETA

Daniel Lee, the new creative director of Bottega Veneta, brought together urban aesthetic and luxurious craftsmanship, reviving the brand and making my love for chunkier shoes stronger that ever. I loved the woman he presented on the runway and I was so inspired to experiment with this new silhouette. On the other hand, my bank account was not as happy as I was, but oh well.

This season, Bottega Veneta was undoubtedly the “hottest brand” with their cult items spotted at everyone’s feet during Fashion Week, including mine of course. I was very excited that I managed to get my hands on few of the items before everything was sold out. I got the iconic Bottega Veneta pouch, but it was shoes, that I could not stop thinking about! So much I loved the new collection, that I added three new pairs in my collection!

The pair that I have been wearing the most though, is no other but the Bottega Veneta Mid-Calf Boots in Storm Cuir. Luxe and simple, is a pair of black chunky boots with nods to motocross gear that is so comfortable and goes with everything. Made from their signature Italian vegetable tanned calfskin, this pair is so flattering and every time I wear it makes me feel fearless and unbeatable. I would say that chunky boots are official ticket to the “cool kids” club now.
