Chanel Les Beiges

Chanel By The Sea

Probably two of my favourite things definitely are Chanel and the Sea, and if you mix these two you get my favourite collection that this fashion house ever did. Not only did I explore Chanel’s ready to wear more this season, but for the first time I completely immersed myself into the sea of Chanel (you see these two words keep coming back) Beauty. I always loved their Boy Balms, have several Eye Pencils and Crayons that are irreplaceable, and loved the Soleil Tan De Chanel since I can remember, but this time I got to experience their iconic collection called Les Beiges.

Before I start talking to you about what I discovered, I would like to ask you, my internet friends, why have you never told me how great Chanel Beauty is, or prompted me to use it more? I only managed to discover few wonderful products lately, but please use the comment section to tell me what are your favourites from this French House as I am on the look out to explore the range even more.

In todays post you can see an almost TOTAL Chanel look (bar the denim skirt), because this season I amorally exploring their universe. The shirt of the season – that I was so lucky to put my hands on, the sand bag that I searched all over Europe, and the Camelia sneakers that I ran to store the day they landed. Lets not forget my Chanel earrings, because we all know how much they make me happy, as for me they are a reminder that Karma exists (remember the story that I lost and then found them?).

SKIN GLOW

I was recently sent four products to check out, and let me be super transparent her, I was in no way asked to write about them, or instructed what to say, they simply arrived in post and I started playing with them.

When the package arrived in post I was first extremely impressed with the Natural Eye Shadow Collection, which is a little palette filled with best earthy colours which can take you from day to night. Somehow I always get attracted to these colours, just like a magpie, and in all honesty they are perfect for on the go. Usually palettes with 9 eyeshadows tend to be big and bulky, but this one fits in my handbag. In fact al four products that are necessary for complete look fit in a small pouch which for me is a great plus. Who agrees?

Then I looked at the foundation. I feel guilty calling it that because its much more special than a simple foundation. Its fresh liquid, that feels like gel, that has pigment dispersed in it. Its like nothing I have ever seen on the market. I first tried it on the back of my hand and thought “This doesn’t really do anything, its like it just disappeared, where is the foundation”. Next day I tried it on my face and boy was I surprised. Its currently in my opinion one of the best hydrating and light foundations out there, but I will speak about it a little bit later as its my HERO product.

Product I thought I was going to like the least is the Healthy Glow Balm, but i was yet again wrong. I love how moisturising it is, and that the pigment isn’t too harsh. The red colour is buildable, flattering and very natural. It can range from bitten lip effect, to full on red balm, which again is very French Riviera style, and a look that could be perfect for summer days (still waiting on the weather though).

When it comes to the sheer powder, I knew I was going to love this, as I used to purchase Chanel Les Beiges powder and think I have several shades in my collection. I love the scent which is exactly the same as all the Chanel products, and think that this is a stunning piece to have in your bag and retouch your complexion on regular basis through out the day.

CHANEL LES BEIGES
-Water Fresh Tint-

There is a reason why this product is a HERO of Les Beiges 2019 Collection, and for me there are so many reasons. First of all I love authenticity and innovation. Maybe that comes from my pharmaceutical days, but when I see these tint molecules dispersed in aqueous gel, I am immediately impressed. When I tried it on my hand – like I mentioned I couldn’t see the result, but if you pass a Chanel counter, please stop, check it out and try it on your face. I applied it early in the morning as I was travelling to Barcelona. When I arrived (I slept on the plane for 2 hours then woke up feeling like half a human and it was only 9am). I pulled out a mirror out of my handbag and thought “Wow, normally I don’t look like this when I land”.

I then started thinking what is it, is it the skin care, what did I do differently and realised its the foundation. I also realised that if you apply it only once, you get a very light effect, where as building it up and reapplying it gives you a wonderful coverage and a glow that puts all the other bases to shame.

Chanel Les Beiges Water Fresh Tint comes in few shades, but as its very light, its very easy to get one shade since I would say they cover a broad spectrum of skin colours. I am in a shade Medium. This foundation also comes with a beautiful brush, but you guys know me, I also applied it many times with my fingers.
