MY LOOK
Every year around this time, I have one ongoing question in my head. What am I gonna wear for New Year’s Eve. And as trivial as it may sound for someone with a wardrobe full of stunning dresses, different outfits and some brand new unworn numbers, I still want the outfit I wear into the New Year to be special. I want to feel comfortable in it, but I also want it to fit the occasion well.
This year I will be celebrating in Belgrade. I am flying back to Serbia for three days or better said nights of celebrating with my friends, and will be packing the dresses I think fit these days the best. I also need the right accessories, shoes, bags, jewellery, makeup that will be perfect for these festive nights.
Do we go for red or nude lip colour? What do we think about glitter? It’s the time of the year where you can wear as much glitter as you want without anyone wondering why. I love it. Since I was about 13 my sister would pick my NYE outfit. Now I realise what a difficult job It really is, but I somehow managed to find my own routine and figure out what it is that I am looking in a dress in order to find the right one.
This year Debenhams really had a great array of dresses, accessories and makeup to complete my perfect festive season. I managed to bag not one, but two dresses and some accessories that are appropriate for dancing whole night (on table and dance floor). I managed to find some super bold lip colours that I think will also make sure my looks are totally different on 31st and on 1st (in Serbia we celebrate the 1st too, its like a re-do of the NYE with lower expectations).
In todays post I wanted to show you one of the looks. This beautiful black Coast dress I found if currently reduced, and a great snatch. I love the flowy bottom part, as its romantic, but still attractive thanks to the beautiful silhouette. I decided to go for sparkly accessories, sparkly shoes and bag, because they are usually super simple to mix and match with other dresses and outfits packed in my suitcase.
MAKEUP
The makeup is bold and New Year’s Eve appropriate.I went for a bold Dior Rouge in Poison Matte and paired it with some fake lashes from Makeup For Ever. A spray of festive smelling Lancome La Vie Est Belle L’eclat gives the look dose of freshness, but also will keep memories of this night bottled up for years to remember. What do you think about these choices?
I guess after all finding the right outfit for the big night out isn’t as difficult as I remember it. IF you click here, you will be able to find some of my top dress picks for this craziest nights of all. Which one is your favourite?
