ITS NOT ALWAYS WHAT IT SEEMS
I’ ve seen Positano all over my instagram and I knew I wanted to see it for myself. The beautiful scenery, crystal clear sea, and the restaurants with gorgeous view. It seemed like a place out of a movie. Something you would see Audrey Hepburn in, and I knew I wanted to visit. I quickly starter plotting and planning my trip, and trust me it wasn’t as easy as I thought.
If you saw my Positano blog, then you know that on the way there we got lost. I mean from Rome we took a train to Naples and then accidentally ended up in Salerno, as I totally got it mixed with Sorrento. Kinda sounds similar, right? If you google map it, Salerno is so far from Positano that we then had to take a ferry boat over 1 hour journey and finally arrived in Positano. Once we arrived I thought all of my troubles were over, but boy was I wrong. We had three suitcases and about 177 steps between us and the hotel. Did I mention that there was no taxi in the port?
So here was me paying a random guy 10€ to drop of our bags at the hotel, as he had some sort of buggy. Of course we were not 100% sure that he hasn’t just totally stollen our suitcases, but there were no other options. Once we arrived to the hotel it felt like a total eternity before the suitcases arrived. In reality it was only about 15 minutes, but hey.
Once we settled in, the journey out of horror movie was forgotten. I loved everything, the fresh air, the view, beautiful sunset, yummy food. Everything was forgiven and Positano and I were friends again. I already had my first truffle pizza and planned a early morning photoshoot with my photographer, Dusan, who you probably also know from the videos. Everything you see in todays post was taken on our first morning in Positano, very early in the morning before any of the tourists woke up.
THE OUTFIT
So lets talk about the outfit. The plan was that we are going to the beach, so I put a bathing suit on that I had for few seasons now – and its a super cute white one from Tularosa. I got it before last Coachella from REVOLVE. I was super excited to get to the beach, so I grabbed my new personalised Folkloore bag, new dolce&Gabbana sunglasses and a straw hat and headed to the beach. I though this is where the fun starts.
It was 7am, and the receptionist told us that there are no taxis operating to the beach. No problem I though a little morning walk could help us anyway. Wow I had no clue that it would take around 1 hour to get down to the beach, and it was constantly downhill, steep stairs and me in my Hermes Oran mules with a small heel. Constant workout assured that when Dusan and Arrived to the beach our legs were completely shaking. While I was taking these pics I just couldn’t even stand so please excuse me if I look totally ridiculous.
As always accessories completed this look. My favourite Cartier jewellery and D&G sunnies did the trick. I love these red sunglasses so much that I couldn’t wait to wear them again and again. Do you like how red suits me? I don’t wear it often as I am not 100% sure about it, but for some reason this day it just felt right.
