DREAMING IN COLOUR
Im sitting at the Zurich airport and writing this blog post. Lets just say I have a lot of time, so feel like really telling you whats on my mind. Statement bags. I mean, bags in general are pretty often on my mind, and I rarely ever go for a very boring classic piece, but looking around me I just see a sea of beige, black and grey totes. Yep pretty boring, not even gonna pretend.
What happened to all of those amazing sartorial pieces that we squeek when we see in a shop window? Did we swap them for more practical ones? In this post I am going to talk to you about a real statement bag, one that leaves me breathless every time its in my hands.
Sedim na Ciriskom aerodromu dok vam pisem ovaj post. Recimo da imam mnogo vremena, pa cu vam ispricati o cemu razmisljam. Interesantne torbe. Mislim, torbe su mi uvek na umu i ja retko ako ikada izaberem dosadan klasican komad, ali dok gledam oko sebe vidim samo more bez, crnih i sivih ceger torbi. Da, prilicno dosano, necu se cak ni pretvarati da nije.
Sta se desilo sa svim onim prelepim komadima koji vidimo na modnoj pisti ili u izlogu omiljenog butika pa uzdahnemo koliko ih zelimo? Da li smo posebne torbe zamenili prakticnim? U ovom postu pricacu vam o posebnim torbama, koje zaista zasluzuju ceo post zato sto me svaki put kada ih uzmem u ruke oduseve.
ABOUT THE OUTFIT
I spotted this Marques Almeida shirt back in April and really loved the ruffle as well as the open back detail. I kept putting it in and out of my basket and then few weeks later it went on sale. Thats when I really had to buy it. What made me love it even more is the sturdy cotton with a rough texture. I couldn’t wait to wear it and since white shirt isa staple piece that everyone should own I thought what a great way to give it a bit of a twist.
Since this post is all about the statement bag, and I am sure you will all agree that there is no better statement bag than this Floral Fendi Peekaboo . Its a perfect example, as it has appliqué details, multiple colours and its such a cult bag – Peekaboo I mean. I could probably style it so many different ways, as I love mixing and matching, prints, colours and trends, but to keep it simple and easy, I decided to go for simple blue jeans and a white shirt.
I say simple, but we already discussed that this shirt is anything but. I love to have key pieces which are a little bit more special. These jeans are by brand called MiH, and they make jeans from the softest denim fabric, which is what I love so much. To make it all a bit vampier, I wore the Gucci heels that you guys know I love because of comfort and of course because of all of these straps in the front. I think I feature them more than 5 times on my YouTube channel, and that is also because now they are on SALE!! Grab and run people, grab and run!!
So if you have a statement bag that you think is too “loud” too fashionable or too cool for whatever occasion, I suggest you pair it with muted pieces of clothing, such as jeans and white shirt. White or beige dress would also do, just like some crazier options in case you are braver. One tip for rocking the statement bag would be – wear it with confidence, there is nothing better than that!
Ugledala sam ovu Marques Almeida kosulju pocetkom aprila i karneri su mi se odmah dopali, kao i otvorena ledja. Konstantno sam je dodavala u korpu pa potom vadila, nisam se mogla odluciti da li da je kupim ili ne. Nekoliko nedelja ili meseci kasnije videla sam da je kosulja na rasprodaji, nisam razmisljala dva puta. Kada je stigla jedva sam cekala da je obucem pogotvo jer mislim da je klasican komad, ali ipak sa neki posebnim preokretom.
Posto je ovaj post zapravo o torbi koja krade svu paznju, vraticu se na cuvenu Floral Fendi Peekaboo torbu. Savrsen primer za torbu koja sve ostavlja bez daha, koja je hrabra ali ne i jednostavna za poneti. Ja volim da kombinujem razlicite boje, printove i trendove, ali kako bih sve ucinila sto jednostavnijim kombinovala sam ovu torbu oz obicne farmerice i kosulju.
Kazem obicne, ali smo se vec slozili da je ova kosulja sve osim toga. Volim kada su moji kljucni komadi malo posebniji. Farmerice su brenda MiH, a oni prave inace sve od najmekanijih materijala, zbog cega su meni posebno dragi. Da sve zacinim dodala sam i Gucci stikle koje ste do sada videli bar 5 puta na mom YouTube kanalu, jer su udobne i lepe, a sada su jos i snizene!!! Brzo, brzo ugrabite ih i vi!!
Ako i vi imate neku torbu za koju mislite da je “preglasna”, pre moderna, precool ili sta god za svaki dan, ja predlazem da je ukombinujete uz neke klasicne komade kao sto su obicne farmerice i kosulja. Bela ili bez haljina bi takodje bila idealan izbor, ali tu je i gomila drugih opcija ako se osecate hrabro. Jedan savet za kombinovanje ovakve torbe jeste da ne zaboravite samopouzdanje. Pudite samouverene u svoj izbor, jer nista nije bolje od toga!
