In the digital times it can be easy to lose the real connection with ourselves. Sometimes I feel that long working hours, dedication to our dreams and goals can make us forget what we really want and how important it is to do those little things for ourselves in order to stay in touch with our inner voice.View Post
I am staring at the Eiffel Tower through my window as I am writing this post. November. Month of my best Parisian experiences. From sun rise to sun set I explored the streets of this incredible city that has so much to offer. I wish I could reveal all at once, but it will take a while. So many posts from Paris, so many outfits, dreams and ideas. My first of all is this neutral outfit I wore for breakfast at Carette.View Post
Im pretty sure that if there would have been a subject in school called shopping I would have excelled at it. Its not a secret that my friends always come to me for advice on best deals, where to get certain items and when to buy stuff in order to maximise their income and get best offer. Well, since all of you are my friends, I decided to dedicate this whole blog post to the biggest sale event of the year, also known as Black Friday/Cyber Monday weekend.
In case you are not familiar with this event (don’t feel bad, the whole concept is also very unknown where I come from), now is the time to learn. Below you can find first a list of 10 retailers, some of my favourites basically, and a lookbook of items that I LOVE and that are on my wish list. You can click on every item you are interested and it will take you straight to shopping page. I have also included the codes that you might need to get the discount.
At the bottom of the page, there is a whole list of many other retailers that are offering great deals, discounts etc. All you need to do is click on the name of the website and it will take you to the sale page. What else to say except Happy Shopping!View Post
Last time my mum visited we tried to clear out my wardrobe. We really wanted to make it season appropriate and soon realised that I always need to have both summer and winter clothes on hand. That is what living in England means I guess. After 9 years of living here, I finally realised that the good old stereotype “It always rains in England” isn’t true. The weather however is the most unpredictable thing, which is why its often most common topic of small talk.
Todays post is a typical example. We had the most gorgeous sunset down here by the seaside and I simply had to capture it. Imagine beautiful summer haze but in November, pretty hard, right? Oh well, I must say that living here has so many perks, and its something that I wouldn’t change for anything else. I am happy to be able to use so many different pieces from my wardrobe whole year long.View Post
You can blame it on my irrational shopping activities that went on in the last few days, but oh am I excited about this time of the year. I mean, I might have totally gone crazy in the shoe, over the knee boot and coat department but hey those are the things I will be relying on a lot in the next few months. I can’t be going out without shoes right? So I think its totally justified. If you are my accountant and you are reading this, you should know that girls with no shoes are not socially acceptable in England.
Either way back to my excitement. I now can say that I colour coordinated every single knit in my wardrobe, even though they are literally 50 shades of…well you know pastel and grey. I simply turned into one of those people who are loving autumn, everything about it and is excited to layer the clothes. Yay!View Post
Back in 1480s Sandro Botticelli expressed his admiration for femininity in the famous master piece also known as, Birth of Venus. I saw it in real life a few years ago in Florence and it left a strong impression.
The painting itself contained a powerful message, and the beauty of Venus was adorned with flowers that were thrown at her. Flowers – symbol of love, daintiness, beauty and trust. Flowers play an important role in my life, as I am not only interested in their beauty, but also in their efficacy – an interest that started in my fourth year of university when I decided to take on an extra module in ‘Power of Plants’.View Post
How can nature be so incredibly stunning at this time of the year. Red leaves and autumn light leave me absolutely speechless season in and out. Even though the coldness totally stepped up its game, and my face pretty much froze yesterday on the way to the gym I can’t not love this beautiful season also known as autumn or fall in case you live in the States. I want to take so many photos for the blog before all of this is gone, specially since I know it will be 5minutes before winter is here. You know what I mean, right? Time is relative!View Post
I am sitting above the keyboard of my computer for probably around three hours now. There is a lot I want to say but I am not quite sure what the real topic of this post will be. Something personal, my current thoughts and stuff that I felt like I really wanted to share with you right now. A lot of stuff has happened to me in the past 2-3 months. Good and bad, all with a valid reason and somehow I managed to learn a lot. I managed to get some of the best lessons in life in a short period of time, just by analysing situations, people and my life in general.
If you follow my YouTube account you probably know that I touched on this topic yesterday in my video (its embedded for you to watch below). I wanted to talk more about it , since it seemed that many of you were really intrigued and interested to hear more. Not sure what to say, maybe watch the video first? Or maybe later…There is no rule I guess.
The title of this post is very obvious, I changed my life for the better and even though it was a development that probably took around 3-5 years all together, I finally figured it outView Post
Fashion month is so over that I felt I should recap the Paris with a single post, telling you a little about each of my outfits I wore there. October was the month of fun. I really had a great time playing with the clothes, seeing my friends, shooting, planning, travelling and more than anything else – learning. It was also a month of changes, but I will speak about those in another, more personal post. Even though I enjoyed fashion month to the max, I am really loving the fact that now I can take my own time, be at home, enjoy autumn and watch Gilmore Girls in bed with hot cocoa. Yes! Its time to wrap up Paris outfits and to move on to autumn looks from tomorrow, hope you are excited about it as much as I am.
Below you can see all the different looks, with where they are from and links to buy the pieces. Hope you like this slightly different type of a post.View Post
There are so many reasons why this blog post is different than the rest. Firstly I am sure you are all shocked as much as I am to see me in black. Not sure why, but for some reason black has never been a colour of my choice. i don’t wear it much and often. Its usually the colour of clothes I wear in the evenings – for nights out and when I am not shooting. But I will get to that later on.
Another reason why I think this post is different are the photos. They are all pretty much very similar just showing the outfit without much complication. Usually I try to tell you a story with my photos, to give you a vibe, but since this outfit is black and different, I wanted something very simple and fuss free, What do you think?View Post
